Outsourced Return to Work Coordination Services

Managing an employee’s return to work after an illness or injury, is crucial for the benefit of both the worker and the employer.

Caliso Workplace Health’s Return to Work Coordination services provide the support and guidance needed to simplify the injury management process and reduce the administrative burden. This ensures that your team member receives appropriate care and has the best chance of recovery.

What we offer

Caliso’s Return to Work (RTW) Coordinators can be appointed by employers to implement an organisation’s return to work program. Our RTW Coordinators are responsible for supporting workers as they recover at work following illness or injury, implementing the organisation’s RTW plan, and assisting employers in meeting their obligations under workers' compensation legislation.

Our RTW Coordination services provide regular communication with all stakeholders to promote a supported, transparent, and timely return to work. We optimise rehabilitation outcomes for workers and minimise the potential impact on insurance premiums while promoting a productive and positive recovery culture. Caliso tailors our services to meet your organisation's requirements, ensuring your needs are met with appropriate levels of service.

When does an organisation need an RTW Coordinator?

Under NSW workers’ compensation legislation, the following must have an RTW Coordinator:

  • Employers insured by a specialised insurer and employing more than 20 workers.

  • Category 1 employers (i.e., employers whose basic tariff premium exceeds $50,000).

  • Category 2 employers must nominate a team member to manage any workers' compensation and recovery at work activities that arise.
